ABOUT

I am currently a Master's student at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Communications and Media Technology program. In 2019, I graduated from the University of Virginia with two Bachelor’s: one in English Language & Literature, and the other in Spanish Language & Culture. I decided to pursue a degree in Communications & Media Technology because of the events that transpired in Charlottesville. As a then-news writer and as a community member, I was inspired by the ability of social media to bring people together; its ability to influence and inspire action, form emotional and intellectual bonds across distances, and how text and images could essentially connect with people in a way that mere speech cannot.

My academic and professional experience lie primarily in writing, content creating, and research; however, it goes without saying that visual content is integral in creating and maintaining one's social media and general communications. For this reason, I've lately attempted to draw out my inner creative. "Attempted" being the operative word.

In this portfolio I seek to track my personal progress as a designer and obtain useful feedback from visitors, so thank you for joining me on this journey!
